Pedicure!

It was 88 degrees today and I magically wandered into a nail salon and on a whim, decided to get my first pedicure of the season. I chose a sassy and fresh pink to really get into the “spring” of things~

Since I moved to Virginia, I haven’t been able to find a good price on pedicures. I’m used to paying $20 or $25 for spa pedicures, but here are they are like $35! So I was thinking last week, “I want a spa pedicure for $25.” Sure enough, as I was running some errands today, I found a nail place that I’d never noticed before and went in to check the prices. As soon as I saw the price was $25, I kicked off my flip flops and indulged!

Sundays

I’m not entirely sure if I have written about Sundays before… but Sundays are my magical day of the week where I can truly unwind, relax, and do whatever I want, which is funny because I usually work a lot on Sundays.

BeSparkly Site

I’ve completed the very first version of BeSparkly.com and am proud to unveil it to you ~ www.besparkly.com

It’s strange how things work out. Before I went to Tokyo, I wanted to work on BeSparkly, but my time was very limited because I had to work more to make more money for the trip and in the midst of that, my home computer died (which is the computer with all my website building programs on it).

I decided not to fret over the loss of my programs (most of them had been installed on my computer years ago and the discs are long gone) and see it as a positive sign that better things were to come.

Sure enough, when I got home, I decided to download upgraded trial versions of both programs I needed and they are WAY more wonderful than the original versions on my dead computer. I can actually write in Japanese on my graphics now (which was nearly impossible with the old Photoshop). With the new energy of the new programs, I was able to build my site in like 5 days…. which may be a record for me. It’s as if a new door opened and I walked through it.

So please, check out the new BeSparkly (though it’s still in its beginning stages) and have a sparkly, wonderful day!

Finally ~ some of my pictures from Tokyo ~ I haven’t finished loading them all yet, mostly because I’ve been busy. It never ends, does it? The busy life…

I manifest FREE TIME to do what I want, like have a dance party at 12am in my house while cleaning. Or to finally go downtown Richmond and explore… I’ve been here a year already and haven’t had a chance to explore. Or maybe to work on my half-way finished romance novel so I can work on getting it published.

Oh yes, I wear many hats. Psychic, writer, entrepreneur, fire investigator. What? Yeah, I go to scenes after fires and investigate. I have one in the morning I’m going on… it’s a pretty cool side job. I take notes, pictures, and nod a lot when the fire experts enlighten me on what happened. It’s part of my job at the law office.

The hard part is when people get hurt… or animals. =(
