Soooo, it’s been super hot all over the US for the last few weeks. Weather can have a prominent effect on our energy and overall productivity.
I noticed at the beach (I was at the beach last week) that the longer I stayed out in the heat, the more my brain melted into a wobbling pile of unfocused goo. Now that I’m back indoors, cranking up the AC, I’ve found my mind coming back to focus and feel like I lost time in la la land because I could hardly manifest.
As I mentioned in my previous post, I was able to remind myself enough to keep saying “I am open to receive” and that got me through the week. Now, I’m ready to manifest again!

My “open to receive” campaign is going well. I’ve noticed that it is really, really easy to get bogged down in the daily stuff and forget that I need to be manifesting every single day.
What’s even funnier is that I’m on vacation and have even less desire to manifest! So, I’ve been keeping my motivation up by saying “I am open to receive” whenever I remember and things are working out A-OK!Â
…and manifesting a pair of Banana Republic jeans for $16 really made my day! =D
There is no real point to this post other than a reminder to keep your “receiving” mode open!ÂÂ

Be thrilled to know that I solved the meaning of life! Here is it.
- Life is all about choosing what you want to do while you are here - alive, on Earth - so choose to do the things that you enjoy.
Alright, so it’s not really the meaning of life, but it’s a good place to start looking for you own answers. =D Think about what you want out of the big picture - your life.Â
Now, the meaning of death and after-life is a whole different topic…Â

So often we manifest things we really don’t believe we can have (but we really want). While this is good practice for flexing our mind and expanding our horizons, it’s easy to get discouraged because not being able to “receive” creates a longing that cannot be fulfilled and our open door to manifesting gets slammed shut in our face, blocking our “ability to receive” other things as well.
To solve this issue with my own manifesting, I have devised a handy phrase to overcome any feelings of “can’t have,” “don’t deserve,” and “i’m not good enough,” ramblings that visit when they are uninvited.
I simply say, “I am open to receive.”Â
Sometimes I elaborate. I may say, “I am open to receive financial abundance,” or “I am open to receive the information I need to solve a problem.” I like this phrase because it shows me immediate results.Â
Too often we get stuck in patterns even though we are aware of them and don’t want to participate in them anymore. To remind myself of the “limitations” that my mind has whipped up to keep me exactly where it is now, I use “I am open to receive,” to counteract those limitations. If my mind says “you can’t have that,” I reply, “I am open to receive.”
A lot of times, but not always, I add in a smile, even if it is forced to my special limitation-buster phrase.
So when you are feeling stuck and pessimistic thoughts are running rampant and holding you back, try my special recipe!
Limitation-Busting Recipe:
- Say “I am open to receive.” (can be done out loud or in your head)
- One smile
…and voila! You have just increased your chances of manifesting what you want!

You know that saying, “practice makes perfect?” Well, I’m going to apply that to manifesting.Â
Practice every day. Try every day. You haven’t lost anything if you fail, but you’ve gained everything if you succeed.
Each time I manifest I wonder “can I really do this?” For a split second there is doubt then I remember all the times I’ve manifested successfully and push that doubt right out of my head.
Now, if you think my success magically happened over night, you’re wrong. I have been actively manifesting on a daily (or near daily) basis for the better part of a decade. I attribute my success to a couple of things, but the main thing is that I never give up.Â
If I don’t get what I want on the first try, or the second, or even the fiftieth, I try again.
I’m more than a tad organized, so I keep a quarterly, monthly, and daily manifesting list. Sometimes there is only one thing on my daily manifesting list and sometimes it is really silly. For example, I am currently trying to manifest some new fuzzy summer slippers.Â
Some people don’t need a written list, so you may be able to use a mental list instead.  I just prefer writing it down because it gives me great joy to go back with a scented glitter pen (thanks John
) and draw a smiley face when I’ve successfully manifested something.Â
If something you want crosses your mind, whether it’s a new toaster or a trip around the world, jot it down and manifest it!
Manifest every day.

In May 2006 I sat down to write out my monthly manifesting list (which I do every month) and decided it was time to get a laptop. I’ve never had a laptop computer, so I did some research on prices and current technology and whipped up my manifesting list.
Now, I specifically wrote: “I want to find the best deal in June 2006 on a laptop that has [list of programs, RAM, etc] and won’t cost more than $600.”Â
So basically, I was manifesting to find the best deal for the computer so I could then buy it.
Low and behold, something magical happened.
In the first week of June, my sister-in-law told me that she had a friend who was moving and had a laptop she didn’t need anymore and wanted to give it away. My sister-in-law told her that I like to write and mentioned that I was in the market to buy one. She also told her I was a psychic and we agreed on a trade. A reading for a laptop.
It has everything I asked for and it was FREE! (okay, so it cost the time for the reading, but in reality, no money was exchanged, so I say it’s free)
I’m just so tickled.
So here’s what happened:
- I decided what I wanted & did some research to be specific.
- I wrote it out on my manifesting list and since I did it in May, didn’t worry about it because I wasn’t going to look until June.
- The manifesting energy went out in search of the “best deal” and stumbled across someone in my immediate bubble.
- I was presented with the opportunity. Now, I could have turned it down (and been crazy) so that’s why it’s important to know that when we manifest, sometimes we get multiple opportunities to get what we want in various forms.
- I, being of sane and sound mind, snatched up this deal and am happily the proud owner of my first laptop with all the fixin’s. =D
So while I tinker around with my new toy, you affirm to yourself that it’s okay to ask for whatever you want!
